Starting off with the Pre-season favorite to win the AA division, St. Patrick used their pass game to open a lead we could not overcome.

It is nice to start off with a win.  It wasn't a pretty win... we have quite a bit of work to do this week.  We saw some great efforts on special teams and defense.  We also saw opportunities to improve... offensively and on special teams.  

This week we play St. Patrick.  They have been a dominant team in AAA, but have moved down to our division this year.  The move down has nothing to do with football...  they will be one of our toughest opponents this year!

It is great to see our intensity get better every practice and scrimmage...  everyone on the team is getting better every day.  Tonight we played well against a AAA team, Our Lady of Lourdes.  As we know from last year, OLOL is always a powerhouse in football.  We thank them for coming out tonight...  we both improved.  Good luck to Our Lady of Lourdes this year!

This weekend we face St. Michael...  a team we faced twice last year.  They are always tough on both sides of the ball (offense and defense).

What a way to start our pre-season, taking on a tough St. Margaret Mary for our 1st scrimmage of the year.  It was a good start...  several highlights, but also opportunities for us to improve.  We have a long weekend... but not much time to rest, as we are taking on another AAA school, Our Lady of Lourdes, next Wednesday.

What can I say... but, I'm very excited about the way our team came together today.  Each game during the round robin we picked up in the 2nd half and outscored our opponents. In the first playoff game, again teamwork and stepping up at right time brought us to victory.

We continue a tradition at St. Aloysius of strong play at the Trinity 7 on 7 Tournament, by being the Runner Up in this year's tournament.

This is a great way to kick off our season!!
