Fantastic job by our 7th and 8th Grade 7 on 7 team... it was a true team effort. We completed the round robin undefeated, playing St. Margaret Mary, St. Mary and Our Lady of Lourdes.
In the first round of the playoffs they faced Our Lady of Lourdes again, winning 28 - 6. We then faced St. Albert in the finals. At halftime we were up 12 - 7, but St. Albert came on strong to start off the second half and never look back, winning 31 - 18.
Coach Berger added, "The players played hard from the start. Our schedule for pool play was one of the more challenging of the tournament but we went undefeated! Beating a great team and tradition like Lourdes twice was truly a feat… and probably the story of the day.
