  • Phood Trucks at Phoenix Hill Tavern in Louisville
This is a different kind of fast food - the food truck. When the the burrito from the gas station, or fries from the fast-food joint just will not cut it, look around for a truck. They were out near Phoenix Hill Tavern.

Skip's Review:  We attended Fiesta time after our last game.  At first I thought service and our orders would be messed up.  He took our food order before bringing drinks.  The drinks got out and the food came out in a timely manner.  The salsa seemed to be hot for most, but that is the way I like it!  The food was delicious and very filling. There dinner portions seem to be on the large size, another way I like things!

We had a large group of more than 20 people and they were able to get us set up quickly.

Editor Note: if you want milder salsa, you can ask for it.

RootieLogo230Skip's Review:  Rooties is a local sports bar located on Westport Road, close to Forest Springs North. Their Signature Wings are some of the best in the area. They also have their own sauce that they sell by the jar.

My favorite is the dipping sauce of homemade blue cheese. We also got the nacho platter that was very good... kept the kids happy while we waited on the wings!

I came on another evening and tried out the burger and it had some great flavoring served with a pleather of fries. They are very accomodating for large groups.  There # 1 spokesperson is our very own Coach Rhodes.

oldchicagoSkip's Review:  I have eaten there twice for lunch and is very good.  I don't know about a large group without calling ahead.  They may have a room that could accomadate a lot of people.  They seem to be real busy during ballgames and have a large selections of beers.

Editor's Note:  A large group of us went to Old Chicago and had a great dinner after a 8th grade game...  yes it was busy, but they were able to accommodate up to 30 people within 20 minutes.  Highly recommend the Italian Nachos!

CiCis_PizzaSkip's Review:  Are you playing at St. Martha, St. Pius or Ascension and need at quick dinner after the game?  We went last week between games to CiCi's.  They offer a quick meal at a reasonable price.  We were limited on time.  They have approximately 12 different pizzas out for picking.  They also have a salad bar, along with an assortment of Pasta's.  The pizza was good considering it was on a buffet.   We were able to get in and make it to the 8th grade game, so we accomplished our mission.  I would not recommend for an anniversry dinner, for some people I know, but the thought counts.

Skip's Review:  We were very lucky to get into Bearno's Little Sicily restaurant across from Bowman Field after the 8th grade game.  We had  approximately 40 people, so we were seated in different locations of the dining area.  The food was delicious and came out in a timely manner considering that the place was full to capacity.  We all ordered as families and the service was spectacular considering they had no warning of us coming.  We will be coming back!
